From campus friendships to a lifelong network.
Sekolah Harapan Bangsa was founded in 1995 to answer the academic needs of the growing population in Modernland, an exclusive 330-hectare estate considered home to Tangerang's elite. Its purpose was to educate students as the hope of the nation.
It all began when PT Modernland Realty acquired the former Ganesha School in Jl. Pulau Putri Raya Kav 10, Modernland, Tangerang and renamed it to Sekolah Harapan Bangsa under the auspices of Yayasan Pendidikan Harapan Bangsa. With a modest number of 100 students and 20 teachers, it accommodated students from first grade until fourth. Thousands of alumni have filled the hallways since that humble beginning.
In order to meet the needs of the thriving school and provide high school education to its primary graduates, it started accepting Junior High School students in 2001 and held its first graduation ceremony in 2004. In 2003, the Preschool Department was built adjacent to the Primary building to offer early childhood education. Following this new addition, SHB expanded its reach by opening a campus in Jl. Bukit Raya 1, Modernhill, Pondok Cabe to address the growing needs of school-aged children. This was inaugurated in 2005.
